These words of our first Prime Minister, spoken at the midnight of 14th August, 1947 – as India prepared itself to welcome independence from the British rule – “ will hold true again 70 years later”, as the nation prepares itself to herald a new era – promising freedom from tax duplications, freedom from tax complications and freedom from tax corruption.
As you would be aware, the Goods and Service Tax (GST) law is coming into effect from Today i.e 01-July-2017.For your information, GST is a comprehensive consumption based indirect tax on supply of goods and services throughout India. It will be replacing varied indirect taxes that are currently levied by the Central and State governments.
